I took Milly to ShinWu Township on 7/12 and 7/13. Our goal was to go bicycle riding in a beautiful place called "Green Corridor". It is a long path with endless trees on two sides(?). You can rent a bicycle to ride along the path. The rent is about NT 100 for one day. That's cheaper than Taipei! You would feel comfortable and cosy riding along the path because the sunlight is shielded by the trees. You can find the place in the Google Map below.
The Green corridor is by the sea. You can enjoy the scene whenever you are tired of riding bicycle. There are a lot of stands selling coffee or local food. You can buy some and sit on the beach, watching the sun falling down the sea.
Before we went to Sinwu, we had been to Yingge Township to make our personal ceramics. You can attend the class for free. The workers there will teach you how to make ceramics. After finishing your product, you can decide if you want your product colored and kilned. It cost us NT 650. Milly and I made two cups with each name. We also wrote some encouraging words on them.
If you like to go bicycle riding, I recomend this place. It has many beautiful scenes and safe path for bicycle riders (almost...). There are many bicycle riding spots in Taiwan. Maybe I would introduce one of them near my house.
